Winter Year Round In The Falls

I have always said that we need to embrace our heritage as a "snow city" instead of being embarrassed about it. Tuscarora businessman Joseph Anderson obviously agrees. The former owner of the Wintergarden in Niagara Falls is finishing up an attraction that brings winter to Niagara Falls, year round.

Scheduled to open June 15, Snow Park Niagara Falls features a tubing hill and a skating rink that features synthetic "ice". For $30 you can have two hours on the tubing hill and unlimited access to the skating and the other snow play area.

Overall...a great idea. Hopefully the implementation will be as good. I have said for a long time that we need to capitalize on our national reputation, not shake our heads everytime Leno mentions it.

Blah!

How about a summerpark where we could enjoy the ecstacy of our 2-month long summers for the rest of the year...

They could be right next door to each other. Kind of like Ying Yang Amusement Park theme.
